This planet has built a dependency on OIL - wars are fought over oil, environmental disasters are caused by oil.
This planet has built a dependency on MARRIAGE - divorce is prevalent because of marriage, messed up children are borne of divorce.
We all know that there are other options:
Solar power, wind power, hydro power are more environmentally friendly and workable possibilities for powering this planet than OIL.
A Realistic Relationship is based on a form of reality that allows for a longterm relationship with parenting success without the need for MARRIAGE.
Of course, we need OIL to build a car - there are (OIL based) plastic products in all vehicles.
Of course we need commitment to build a relationship - being committed to that love is tantamount for success.
BUT:
We can reduce our dependence on OIL.
We can reduce our dependence on MARRIAGE.
* OIL has become so ingrained in our culture that any other form of power is viewed as a weak possibility.
* MARRIAGE has become so ingrained in our psyche that anything else is viewed as a failure.
- We all know that there is a better way than OIL - there are possibilities that we are all aware of.
- We all know that there is a better way than MARRIAGE - there are possibilities that we are all capable of.
To let go of MARRIAGE & OIL simply requires us to think outside the box, to teach our children another way, to look at the possibilities before us and to do something active to change the status quo.
It requires us to accept that OIL is not necessary in order to have a planet that functions better.
It requires us to understand that MARRIAGE is not necessary in order to have a longterm relationship that lasts.
The truth is this:
OIL is a filthy pollutant that is touted by those in 'the know' as the only way to run this planet.
MARRIAGE is a pathetic fairy tale that is touted by religions, governments and parents as the only way to have a successful relationship.
If you seriously think that we cannot reduce our dependency on OIL, then you probably think that you cannot raise children without MARRIAGE.
If you believe that OIL is essential for power, and MARRIAGE is essential for success, then you have not thought very hard about your life or your loves, you have not looked around you and observed the truth...
So, why not think outside the box - why not look at energy in a new light - why not look at relationships in a new way - why not admit that we could do better without our dependence on OIL - why not admit that we could do better without the validation of MARRIAGE?
This is why I ask:
Why do you need to be married to be a good partner or a good parent?
Why do we need to be beholden to the Middle East to have good power and good energy?
Try creating an opinion based on reality, and try letting go of the miseducation based on fantasy.
If you only ever listen to the old school ways, you will never find new ways of succeeding.
Times change, the roles of men and women have changed, the possibilities of alternative fuels has changed.
OIL is a fossil fuel.
MARRIAGE is a fossil institution.
You never know where you might end up if you think my argument through:
In a world that is cleaner and more efficient...
In a relationship that is longer and more realistic...
